Overview
TruGolf offers two E6 platforms: E6 Connect is the established simulator with 90+ licensed real-world courses (Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, Bandon Dunes) and cloud-based online multiplayer. E6 Golf (formerly E6 APEX, renamed in 2026) is the next-generation platform built on Unreal Engine 5 with AI-powered course creation, IBM watsonx–powered AI Commentary, and 15,000+ courses (mostly AI-generated) in 4K photorealistic graphics. As of mid-2026, E6 Golf has its own standalone subscription tiers (Improve $150/year, Play $300/year, Enjoy $450/year — Enjoy includes both Play and Improve) and no longer requires an E6 Connect subscription. E6 Connect syncs your rounds and practice sessions to the E6 portal, and TruGolf support describes an Export to CSV button in the portal's Practice and Bag Mapping session views, though it isn't visible on every license. SimSights doesn't have a dedicated E6 CSV importer yet, so screenshot upload is the most reliable way to bring E6 shots into SimSights.

How to Export: Screenshot Upload (Recommended)
- 1Play your round or practice session in E6 Connect or E6 Golf as normal
- 2After each shot (or at the end of your session), navigate to the shot data screen showing your metrics
- 3Take a screenshot on your device (PC: Windows key + Print Screen, Mac: Cmd + Shift + 3)
- 4Upload the screenshot to SimSights — our OCR will extract the shot data automatically
Note: Screenshots work with any E6 license and are the tested path for E6 shots in SimSights.
How to Export: CSV from the E6 Portal (depends on license)
- 1In E6 Connect, check Settings > Profile and make sure Cloud Sync (or Upload Stats) is turned on
- 2Hit your shots in Driving Range or Bag Mapping with your simulator connected to the internet, so the session syncs
- 3Log in to portal.e6golf.com with the same email and password you use in E6 Connect
- 4Click the Sessions tab and open the practice or Bag Mapping session
- 5Click Export to CSV if your license shows it
Note: From TruGolf support ("How To Download Session Analytics For E6 Connect"). The CSV button isn't visible on every license; without it, TruGolf suggests copying the session's data table into a spreadsheet, and most session pages can also be saved as a PDF summary. Sessions only appear in the portal if the simulator was online during or right after the session. We haven't confirmed whether E6 Golf offers the same export. SimSights doesn't have a dedicated importer for E6 CSVs yet, so use screenshots if you want results right away.
How to Export: Export from Your Launch Monitor App
- 1If you also recorded the session in your launch monitor's own app or software, open it
- 2Find the session and check its export options
- 3Export the CSV from there following the instructions in our device guide for your launch monitor
Note: Not all launch monitors record data independently while connected to E6. TrackMan, Foresight (via FSX), and FlightScope devices can typically record independently. Budget devices like the Garmin R10 may send data exclusively to E6 during a session.
Important
The E6 web portal (portal.e6golf.com) offers digital scorecards, round statistics, and analytics. For E6 Connect, the portal's Sessions tab lists synced rounds and practice sessions with per-shot metrics, and TruGolf support describes an Export to CSV button in Practice and Bag Mapping session views, with availability varying by license.
E6 Connect Commercial Suite allows league managers to download leaderboard data (scores, rankings) to CSV, but this is aggregated scoring information only — not per-shot metrics.
E6 APEX has been renamed E6 Golf (2026) — older TruGolf materials, forum posts, and screenshots may still use the APEX name. E6 Golf is sold via standalone subscription tiers at portal.e6golf.com: Improve ($150/year — game improvement suite: Bag Mapping, Club Fitting, Skills Challenges, practice tools), Play ($300/year — 15,000+ courses and standard course play modes), and Enjoy ($450/year — everything in Play and Improve). An E6 Connect subscription is not required; E6 Connect is sold separately. Both platforms launch through the TruGolf Product Launcher.
E6 Golf requires significantly higher PC specs than E6 Connect: Windows 10/11 (64-bit), 24GB RAM, 12GB VRAM, Intel i7 10th generation or higher.
E6 Golf currently supports solo play and local multiplayer only. E6 Connect supports cloud-based online multiplayer.
Tips for Best Results
- Choose E6 Connect if you want licensed real-world courses (Pebble Beach, St. Andrews) and online multiplayer
- Choose E6 Golf if you want cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5 graphics, AI-generated courses, and game improvement tools (bag mapping, skills challenges)
- Keep Cloud Sync on (Settings > Profile) and your simulator online, so sessions reach the E6 portal
- Take screenshots of the shot data screen after each shot for the most complete data capture
- If your launch monitor supports dual recording, check that it's enabled so data is saved to both E6 and your launch monitor app
- TrackMan is compatible with E6 Connect but not yet with E6 Golf
- E6 Connect works on PC (Windows 10/11), Mac, and iPad — E6 Golf requires Windows only
- E6 Golf March 2026 update added IBM watsonx-powered AI Commentary for in-game narration and coaching cues (new courses like Bethpage Black and additional game modes were also added, though these are less relevant for SimSights data-analysis workflows)
