D-Plane Tilt

The 3D tilt angle of the D-Plane relative to the ground.

Full Definition

D-Plane tilt measures the three-dimensional angle of the descriptive plane (formed by club path and face angle) relative to the ground. It combines the effects of club path, face angle, and attack angle into a single angular measurement. A more tilted D-Plane produces more sidespin and curvature.

Why It Matters

D-Plane tilt provides a unified view of how your club delivery creates ball flight. Rather than analyzing face, path, and attack angle separately, D-Plane tilt shows their combined effect. A more vertical D-Plane produces straighter shots with less curvature.
