Max Height Side

The lateral position of the ball when it reaches its highest point.

Also known as:Max Height - Side, Apex Side, Peak Side

Full Definition

Max height side measures how far left or right of the target line the ball is when it reaches its apex. This reveals how your shot is curving during the ascending portion of its flight. Combined with the final side deviation, it shows the complete curvature pattern of your shot.

Optimal Range

Within 10 yards of target line at apex

Why It Matters

Knowing where the ball is at its peak helps understand your shot shape. If the ball is significantly offline at apex, it indicates early curvature from face-to-path relationship. This can help diagnose whether your curve is intentional or a swing fault.
